A responsible
business

We believe that people who are directly involved with Harvest House work under good working conditions. We safeguard safe working conditions, care and personal development for all employees at our farming enterprises.

Good working conditions: We are proud of our responsible business with a responsible cultivation, fair rewards and honest work. All farming enterprises comply with certifications to safeguard this.

All or growers are Global G.A.P. certified. We comply with legal social standards and we have this checked by audits carried out by, for example, GRASP and SEDEX.

2

Farming enterprises in high-risk countries in relation to human rights comply with SMETA and/or Fairtrade.

A fair world: We want to contribute to a better, fairer world. That's why we choose Fairtrade at our cultivation locations in North Africa. We do that little bit extra and give something back to the country and its people.

We support projects that contribute to a better life of employees, their families and living environment such as good working hours, free transport to work, regular visits of a doctor and daily hot meals full of nutrients.

2

We create employment and offer a fair wage for men AND women, education, training and options to personally develop.

International employees: There is still a lot of (seasonal) production work in the greenhouse for which people are needed. This is why we work a lot together with renowned temporary employment agencies at the farming enterprises. We mainly use them for the recruitment and selection of international employees.

We always work together with renowned temporary employment agencies. In many cases, growers themselves organise good accommodation for their employees close to the farming enterprise.
